U.S. LOSES MOST JOBS IN 5 YEARS
April 8, 2008 - Employers slashed 80,000 jobs in March according to a
monthly report by the Bureau of Labor Statistics. The number is
significantly higher than economists where expecting.
The construction industry was the big loser last month, shedding 51,000
jobs since its peak in September 2006, the sector has lost 394,000 workers.
