GATEWAY COMPUTERS INVOLVED IN BLUEHIPPO CLASS
ACTION SUIT
May 11, 2008 - BlueHippo has something new to be blue about. A judge in a class action
lawsuit against the computer layaway company has ruled that Gateway, which exclusively
provided computers to the company for years, can be named as a defendant in the action.
“A third party does not have a duty to report another's tortious activity. But neither does a third
party have a right to aid and abet another in a tortious activity and profit from it by providing
substantial assistance,” said United States District Judge Jeffrey White.
The class action lawsuit seeks restitution for “thousands” of California BlueHippo customers
who paid thousands of dollars for overpriced merchandise and in many cases received
nothing, said David Marshall, the lead counsel on the case.
The company BlueHippo is listed in my list of "Belongs Below" for their ripoff of consumers.
Beware of a company called Alternative Financing which is owned by the same guy that owns
BlueHippo (the last time I checked.)
These scum types change names and run the same game until they are finally put in prison or
they ripoff the wrong person, if you know what I mean.
