Video Professor

This is the guy you see in all those informercials touting his computer training CD
products.  He offers a FREE trial CD so you can see how you like it. They recently
changed the small print to read  "up to $6.95 to pay for shipping and handling".  The
catch? You must use a credit card to pay for this shipping and handling and that's
were the problem occurs. With over 600 complaints to the BBB and several other
complaints on other websites, Video Professor decides to send you other CD's and
charge your credit card without your authorization. Whether they do it on purpose or
from confusing customers on the phone, it still stinks.

As a comparison, I saw an infomercial for Rosetta Stone, a company that sells
language training CD's which also had a FREE trial sample CD if you called. Well I did
call and guess what? NO charge for shipping and handling, no credit card required,
just your name and address. I received the CD in about a week and have never been
pressured to buy anything.

John W. Scherer, the CEO and Founder, has decided to sue
infomercialscams.com to
obtain names and IP addresses of his customers that posted complaints. What a legal
maneuver. He states that he wants to contact and satisfy every former customer that
has a complaint. I have a better idea. Change your misleading marketing strategies and
try to do business like a real company. Be upfront about how your business operates
and quit trying to scam your customers. If the product is any good, they will order
again.

By the way, I wonder if he is a real professor ?
